Yang: It’s fine, just a normal performance.
Q: Did you have any preparation for this fight?
Yang: Of course, I’ve been preparing for this all the time.
Q: How do you think your opponent did in the fight?
Yang: He was good too.
Q: What is your biggest strength in this fight?
Yang: My strength is wrestling. My specialty is wrestling, and I used to be a wrestler.
Q: When did you start practicing MMA?
Yang: I started practicing MMA in 2020.
Q: Have you participated in any major tournaments in your career? What are your results?
Yang: I won in JCK and I have also fought in Wulin Cage.
Q: Have you ever suffered a serious injury that made you consider giving up?
Yang: Yes, there were times when I wanted to give up, especially during training. But I still persevered.
Q: What’s your next goal?
Yang: The goal is to become a champion. Every athlete trains hard for the championship.
Q: How many matches have you had this year?
Yang: This is the fourth one. I fought in the cage match in February. I also had free fights in Xinjiang in April and May. I started training at the age of 8 and have been training for many years.
Q: Is there anything you want to say to your family?
Yang: I want to thank my family for their continuous support, as well as my team and coaches. First of all, I am grateful to our head coach, Yang Jinshuai. He has been supporting me, especially during the weight loss, which is the most painful time. He encouraged me and helped me overcome the moments when I wanted to give up. That’s how I got through it.
