On October 27th, the Happy Elephant MMA Champions League took place at the Sun Palace, located by the Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing.

The event featured exciting matches between local fighters and an exciting international women’s strawweight showdown, which was a great feast for the fighters and a lot of excitement.

Epic Showdown: Dragon and Phoenix rise

The opening match of the league featured Qihao Wei representing the Fighting Bros Club against  Zhenyang Zhang from GP Club.

Right from the start, both fighters showed remarkable skills and fought in an intense back-and-forth battle in the first round.

In the second round, Zhenyang Zhang unleashed a high frequency attack and continued to press and attack.

Finally, at 3 minutes and 20 seconds of the second round, Zhenyang Zhang  scored a powerful knockout victory, showcasing his formidable strength.

Throughout the rest of the event, the participating athletes demonstrated exceptional technical ability and fighting skills.

Many experienced fighters showed off their skills, demonstrating a range of fighting techniques. They were applauded by the crowd.

The highlight of the league was an international women’s strawweight contest between Xiaocan Feng of Chunbo MMA Club and Japanese fighter Miki Motono. They had already attracted plenty of attention in the run-up to the fight.

In the first two rounds, both competitors engaged in a strategic dance, testing each other’s skills and defenses.

At the start of the third round, Xiaocan Feng  took control of the pace and continuously took the initiative in attacking. She quickly brought Miki Motono to the ground with grappling.

Eventually, Xiaocan Feng capitalised on her momentum and secured the victory by submitting her opponent with a triangle choke at 1 minute and 48 seconds of the third round.

71kg – Aorigele defeats Danzhenghua Qinduojie (TKO win)

77kg – Hesi Tang defeats Mingchao Cheng (TKO win)

Women 52kg – Xiaocan Feng defeats Miki Motono (Submission win)

Inside the octagon, fighters displayed the true essence of martial arts with blistering speed and dazzling techniques. The explosive fights and the intensity of the confrontations kept the entire audience on the edge of their seats.
